Sauce

  • 4oz san marzano tomatoes(Crushed or pureed)
  • 1 tsp garlic(Minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Toppings

  • 2oz pepperoni slices(Thinly sliced turkey or pork pepperoni)
  • 4oz truffle cheese(e.g., Fontina with truffle, or fresh mozzarella mixed with truffle oil/paste)
  • 4oz fresh mozzarella(Torn into pieces, if not using truffle cheese exclusively)
  • 1oz hard cheese (parmesan or pecorino)(Grated)
  • 5 pcs fresh basil leaves(For garnish)
  • 1 tsp spicy pepper drizzle(Optional, like hot honey or chili oil)

Instructions

Prepare Pizza Dough and Sauce

  1. Preheat your oven to the highest setting (usually 250-300°C or 475-575°F), with a pizza stone or steel inside if you have one.
  2. If using homemade dough, let it come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the crushed San Marzano tomatoes with minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper for the sauce.

Assemble the Pizza

  1. Lightly flour a clean surface and stretch the pizza dough into a roughly 12-inch circle. Avoid overworking the dough.
  2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza peel or baking sheet.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer of the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Distribute the fresh mozzarella pieces evenly over the sauce.
  5. Add the truffle cheese (or truffle-infused mozzarella) and then arrange the pepperoni slices on top.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan or Pecorino cheese over the toppings.

Bake the Pizza

  1. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone/steel or place the baking sheet in the oven.
  2. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and puffed, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. If desired, add a drizzle of spicy pepper drizzle over the hot pizza immediately after removing it from the oven.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
