Ingredients

Dough

  • 18oz neapolitan pizza dough(store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp semolina flour(for dusting)

Sauce

  • 14oz san marzano tomatoes(crushed, drained)
  • 1 tsp garlic(minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil(extra virgin)
  • 1/2 tsp salt(or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Toppings

  • 5oz truffle cheese(such as fontina or mozzarella infused with truffle)
  • 4oz pepperoni(thinly sliced)
  • 10 pcs fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes(optional, for extra spice)

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a bowl, combine crushed San Marzano tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and dried oregano. Stir well.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Assemble the Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 250°C (480°F) with a pizza stone or baking steel inside, if available.
  2. Lightly dust a pizza peel or parchment paper with semolina flour. Place the pizza dough on it.
  3. Spread one third of the sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Scatter roughly torn truffle cheese over the sauce.
  5. Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  6. If using, sprinkle red pepper flakes sparingly.

Bake the Pizza

  1. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking steel.
  2. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  3. Remove from oven and let it rest for a minute.

Serve

  1. Top with fresh basil leaves.
  2. Slice and serve immediately.
