Ingredients

  • 946 1/3ml watermelon(frozen seedless chunks; about 600 grams)
  • 113g tequila
  • 113g cointreau
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup lime juice

Garnish

  • tajín(to taste)
  • 1 pc lime(for garnish)

Instructions

Main

  1. Place frozen watermelon, tequila, Cointreau, sugar and lime juice in a blender and blend until smooth and well combined.

Garnish

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rim into a plate of Tajín; you can also add a little Tajín into the drink if desired.
  2. Pour the frappe into prepared glasses and garnish with a lime wedge or a small piece of watermelon. Serve immediately.

Tips

  • Freeze watermelon chunks until solid to achieve a slushy, icy frappe without adding extra ice.
  • Blend in short pulses and taste between blends; adjust sugar or tequila to reach desired balance.
  • Rim glasses with Tajín and serve the frappe immediately while very cold for best texture.
