Ingredients

Main

  • 7 gelatin mix((3 ounce) packages assorted fruit flavored Jell-O mix)
  • 4 1/2 cup water(boiling, divided)
  • 4 1/2 cup water(cold, divided)
  • 12 fl oz evaporated milk(can, divided)
  • 227g whipped topping(container, frozen, thawed)

Instructions

Main

  1. Gather all ingredients and coat a 9x13 inch dish with cooking spray.
  2. For a clear layer: dissolve one package gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water, stir in 3/4 cup cold water, spoon into pan and refrigerate until almost set, about 45 minutes.
  3. For an opaque layer: dissolve one package gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water, stir in 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup evaporated milk, spoon over previous layer and refrigerate until almost set, about 45 minutes.
  4. Repeat the clear and opaque layer steps, alternating until all gelatin is used; just before serving, top with thawed whipped topping.

Tips

  • Chill each gelatin layer until almost set before adding next to prevent mixing.
  • Warm the next gelatin slightly if it won't adhere to the previous layer for better bonding.
  • Top with thawed whipped topping just before serving to keep layers crisp and distinct.
