Ingredients

  • 18oz chicken breast(cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 pcs bell peppers(mixed colors, cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1 pc red onion(cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup yogurt(plain, for marinade)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 pcs wooden skewers(soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

Marinate Chicken

  1. In a large bowl, combine chicken cubes, yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well to ensure chicken is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).

Assemble Skewers

  1. Thread marinated chicken cubes, bell pepper pieces, and red onion pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating ingredients.

Cook Souvlaki

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
