Ingredients

  • 2 pcs ripe avocados(medium, pitted and scooped)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup(or agave nectar, adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp plant-based milk(almond, oat, or soy milk)
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender: ripe avocado flesh, unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, plant-based milk, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Ensure there are no avocado lumps remaining.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more maple syrup.

Chilling and Serving

  1. Divide the mousse among four small bowls or ramekins.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes to allow the mousse to firm up and flavors to meld.
