- 16 7/8 fl oz whole milk
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 pc cinnamon stick
- 2 pcs cloves(whole)
- 2 tbsp sugar(or to taste)

Preparation
- Combine milk, orange zest, cinnamon stick, and whole cloves in a medium saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is just simmering. Do not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover, and let the spices infuse for 5-7 minutes.
Finishing
- Strain the milk mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean saucepan to remove the spices and orange zest.
- Add the finely chopped dark chocolate and sugar to the strained milk. Return to low heat.
- Whisk continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and frothy. Be careful not to let it boil.
- Taste and adjust sugar if needed.
- Pour the spiced orange chocolat chaud into two mugs and serve immediately.
