Crust
- 9oz speculoos cookies(finely crushed)
- 4oz butter(melted)
Caramelized Apples
- 4 pcs apples(peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 2oz butter
- 3oz sugar(granulated)
- 1 tsp cinnamon(ground)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
Crust
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a medium bowl, combine the finely crushed speculoos cookies with the melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
- Press the cookie mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 23cm (9-inch) tart pan with a removable bottom.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool slightly while preparing the filling.
Caramelized Apples
- In a large skillet, melt 2oz of butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and caramelized.
- Stir in the lemon juice during the last minute of cooking.
Assembly and Baking
- Spread the caramelized apples evenly over the pre-baked speculoos crust.
- Return the tart to the oven and bake for another 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the tart cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before carefully removing the sides of the tart pan.
