Instructions
Prepare the Bread
- Trim the crusts from the white bread slices.
- Arrange the bread slices in a mold or on a serving platter to form the initial layer of the Smörgåstårta. You may need to overlap or trim slices to fit your desired shape (e.g., a rectangle or round cake).
Make the Filling
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, picked crab meat, chopped smoked salmon, chopped dill, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and black pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Assemble the Smörgåstårta
- Spread half of the seafood filling evenly over the first layer of bread.
