Ingredients
- 14oz pork belly(cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 3 pcs e-fu noodles(about 4oz per pack)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp garlic(minced)
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil(for frying)
Instructions
Pork Belly
- Pat the pork belly dry with paper towels. This helps it crisp up.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork belly and fry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove pork belly from the wok, leaving the rendered fat. Set pork belly aside.
Noodles
- In the same wok with rendered pork fat, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add soy sauce, water, sugar, and white pepper to the wok. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the e-fu noodles to the simmering sauce. Gently toss to coat and allow them to absorb the liquid, about 5-7 minutes, until tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Add the crispy pork belly back into the wok with the noodles. Toss to combine and heat through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil just before serving.
