Instructions

Prepare the Buns

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 10-inch oven-safe skillet.
  2. 2Unroll the biscuits and separate them. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
  3. 3In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter (4 tbsp) with the biscuit pieces. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. 4Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in a single layer in the prepared skillet.

Make the Filling

  1. 1In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter (2 tbsp), packed brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. 2Drizzle this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces in the skillet.

Bake and Glaze

  1. 1Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through.
  2. 2While the buns are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and softened butter until smooth.
  3. 3Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until combined. Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the glaze reaches your desired consistency.
  4. 4Once the buns are out of the oven, let them cool slightly in the skillet. Then, drizzle the glaze generously over the warm cinnamon buns.

Tips

  • Ensure your cream cheese and butter for the glaze are fully softened for a smooth, lump-free consistency.
  • Keep an eye on the buns while baking; oven temperatures can vary, and you want them perfectly golden.
  • Serve warm directly from the skillet for the best texture and melt-in-your-mouth experience.
