- 6 pcs liege waffles(stale or day-old, cubed)
 - 4 pcs eggs(large)
 - 2 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup milk
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar(adjust to taste)
 - 1/4 cup pearl sugar(for topping, optional)
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
 - 1 tsp cinnamon(ground)
 - 1/4 tsp nutmeg(ground, optional)
 - 1 tbsp butter(for greasing the dish)
 
Instructions
Custard and Waffle Prep
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
 - Add the cubed Liege waffles to the custard mixture. Gently toss to coat and allow them to soak for at least 15 minutes, or until softened.
 
Assembly and Baking
- Pour the waffle and custard mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
 - If using, sprinkle the pearl sugar evenly over the top of the bread pudding.
 - Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread pudding is set and golden brown on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.
 
Cooling and Serving
- Let the bread pudding cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
 - Serve warm, on its own or with a dusting of powdered sugar, whipped cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
