Ingredients

  • 4oz dark chocolate(finely chopped, 70% cocoa or higher)
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp honey(or to taste)
  • 1 tsp culinary lavender
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Combine the whole milk and culinary lavender in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until just simmering, being careful not to boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Let the lavender infuse in the warm milk for 5 minutes. Strain the milk through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean saucepan to remove the lavender buds. Discard the lavender.
  3. Add the finely chopped dark chocolate and honey to the strained lavender milk. Return to medium-low heat.

Cooking

  1. Whisk constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened. Do not boil.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the Lavender Honey Chocolat Chaud into two serving mugs.
