Instructions
Make the Dough
- 1In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
- 3Pour the yeast mixture and vegetable oil into the well. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- 4Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
