Ingredients

  • 1 pc baguette(fresh, small to medium)
  • 2oz prosciutto(thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter(softened)
  • 1 tsp fresh chives(finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley(finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup arugula(packed)
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • black pepper(freshly ground, to taste)

Instructions

Assembly

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped chives, and chopped parsley. Mix well to create the herbed butter.
  2. Slice the baguette lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through, creating a hinge.
  3. Spread a generous layer of the herbed butter on both cut sides of the baguette.
  4. On one side, spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the herbed butter.
  5. Arrange the prosciutto slices neatly over the Dijon mustard.
  6. Top with a generous handful of fresh arugula.
  7. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste, then close the baguette.
  8. Cut the sandwich in half or into smaller portions, if desired, and serve immediately.
