Bake Preparation

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced potatoes, chopped anchovies, and sliced onion.
  3. 3Pour the heavy cream over the potato mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Toss gently to combine.
  4. 4Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. 5In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the potatoes.

Baking

  1. 1Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.

  3. 3Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
